One key aim was to initiate a new GW4 network that was able to identify the most pressing issues within nanomedicine research. Delegates were invited to write key words on post-it notes that encapsulated topics that they wanted to discuss during the day, such as nanoparticles & the immune system.

GW4 NanoMedicine Workshop | Exeter University
Prof. Arwyn Jones (University for Cardiff), kicked off the talks with a presentation entitled “Endocytosis for drug delivery: breaking the lock or using the key to get nanoparticles and reception into cells”, followed by 25 ‘one-minute flash talks’ by many of the attending delegates. It was clear that there was a diverse range of researchers at the workshop, from cell biologists to mathematical modellers.
